Volunteer Form

Thank you for your interest in caring for our resettled neighbors. Please fill out this form so we can direct you to the volunteer opportunity best suited for you. We’ll look forward to being in touch with next steps.

Brief Description of Volunteer Needs:

Family Mentorship: A 12-month commitment for mentors who are paired either with newly arriving families and individuals, or those who have lived in Portland for some time. We are looking for teams of 4-6 people and individuals are welcome to apply as well. This can have an English language learning add-on or not. More here.

Youth Mentorship: A 12-month commitment for mentors who are paired one-on-one with junior high or high school students. More here.

Build a Restart Kit: Provided for newly arriving families, this can be done at any time throughout the year and has a cost of $50-200. More here.

Host a Collection Event: Mobilize your faith community, business, school, or other community group to build restart kits or gather gift cards or other essential items for refugee families.

Please Note:

Family Mentorship & Youth Mentorship pairings can be immediate or take up to a few months, based on a number of factors in our pairing process.
All relational volunteer programs require an application and background check.
Most refugee families are placed in SE Portland, with some in North Portland and the Beaverton/Tigard area. We prioritize pairing mentors with families, individuals, or youth who live within a 20 minute drive from one another.
