Digital Devices Drive
For refugee families newly arriving to Portland, there’s an immediate need for laptops and cell-phones to schedule meetings, receive support, and access resources.
With weekly requests for laptops and cell-phones for newly arriving refugee families, Refugee Care Collective is asking for donations to distribute to each household, in partnership with local refugee resettlement agencies.
This will provide families the ability to connect with case managers, Oregon DHS, Refugee Care Collective family mentors, and other resources that are essential in the first several months.
• Laptops and Tablets: Up to five years old (2017 or newer).
• Phones: iPhone 7 or newer. Samsung and Google phones from the last five years (2017 or newer).
We’re asking for items in good repair, with decent batteries. If there are any problems with your device, kindly disclose them first. This will reduce strain on both our team and the recipients of your donation.
A factory reset will be performed on every device before it’s distributed.
• Bring items to an upcoming collection day. The next one is on Saturday, January 22nd from 10am-1pm – RSVP by filling out this form. (Address: 10160 SW Nimbus Ave, Suite F-3, Portland, OR 97223)
