Refugees are proven victims of persecution that have been forced to flee their home country in search of hope and a safe place to live. Many refugees have undergone unimaginable tragedy and know nothing but fear. With a rigorous vetting process that averages two years, less than 1% of refugees are resettled in the United States. Many then arrive in Portland, Oregon each year.
Through direct partnership with resettlement agencies and non-profits, Refugee Care Collective is committed to providing care for all refugees in Portland (those already resettled and those yet to arrive), but we need your help. Give to refugee care efforts to show families that you’re with them, that you're for them, and that you stand for welcome.
If empathy makes us human and solidarity makes us strong, than we really can bring hope to our new guests. Join us as we replace violence with peace, impossibility with hope, and fear with love.
We welcome one-time donations, or recurring donations of $5 per month or more.
